Underwrite Compliance is a software company in Austin, Texas. Our customers are credit repair businesses. Our users are the people in those businesses who have to answer for what happened on a case.

Where this came from
The first version of this was an internal tool inside a credit repair operation, written because a state examiner asked for the delivery date of a disclosure and the honest answer was that nobody had recorded one. It was not that the operator had skipped the step. It was that the step left no trace.
Everything since has been the same problem in different clothes. The obligation is usually understood. What is missing is a record that makes it provable a year later, without reconstructing anything and without asking anyone to remember.

A control is worth ten warnings
If the software can tell that an action is out of order, it should refuse the action. A banner that appears after the fact is a way of documenting that you knew.

The trail is the product
A record that cannot be produced later is a record that did not happen. Everything is written once, referenced afterwards, and exported signed.

No override flag
An escape hatch on a statutory control becomes the first thing an examiner asks about, and the honest answer is much easier when it does not exist.

Say what varies
State requirements differ and change. We record what an operator registered rather than asserting a number on their behalf, and we say so plainly instead of implying coverage.

Boring on purpose
This is infrastructure. It should be legible at three in the afternoon on a bad day, in a dense table, on a laptop with the brightness down.
What shipped, and when
- 2019Founded in Austin after two years of building dispute tooling inside an operator.
- 2021First white label tenant. The tenant boundary became the unit of everything.
- 2023The compliance engine split out of the case service. Controls stopped being validation and started being refusals.
- 2025Append only trail with hash chained exports, after an operator asked us to prove an export had not been reissued.
- 2026Per state business calendars, separate clocks for method of verification, and the OKLCH theme engine that keeps a rebrand away from a contrast floor.
What we will not sell you
- A guarantee about what a consumer reporting agency will do.
- A feature that removes accurate information, because there is no such thing.
- A dispute volume target, which is a metric that rewards the wrong behaviour.
- Legal advice about your state. We will happily sit in the room while your counsel gives it.
- An override on a statutory control, at any price.
